Katja Bastos fue la desarrolladora, junto a su marido, César Bastos, bajo la orientación de la Reina Gitana, de una interpretación del Petit Lenormand que revolucionaría la forma de abordar las cartas aquí en Brasil, asociando a algunas cartas la influencia de los Orixás. Si hubo intentos anteriores, los desconozco; sin embargo, la baraja desarrollada por ellos, ilustrada por el artista español Julio Spinoso, es coherente dentro de su propuesta y ha estado, al menos durante veintiocho años, encantando a los amantes del Encantamiento Gitano.
Es una baraja absolutamente hermosa. Es autónoma en su propia estructura, lo que dificulta un poco su interacción con el resto de la bibliografía disponible en Brasil sobre el Petit Lenormand. Pero, contrariamente a lo que podría parecer, esto es sumamente favorable. Como el conjunto es coherente en sí mismo, la ausencia de interpretaciones relacionadas con las cartas comunes no hace diferencia. Es como si esta fuera otra baraja, una derivación del Petit Lenormand, no solo una versión del mismo.

Katja Bastos, together with her husband, César Bastos, under the guidance of the Gypsy Queen, developed an interpretation of the Petit Lenormand that would revolutionize the way the cards are approached here in Brazil, associating some cards with the influence of the Orixás. If there were previous attempts, I am unaware of them; however, the deck they developed, illustrated by Spanish artist Julio Spinoso, is cohesive within its concept and has been enchanting lovers of Gypsy Enchantment for at least twenty-eight years.
It is an absolutely beautiful deck. It is self-contained in its structure, which makes it a bit challenging to interact with the rest of the available bibliography on the Petit Lenormand in Brazil. But, contrary to what might seem, this is extremely favorable. Since the set is coherent in itself, the absence of interpretations related to common cards does not make a difference. It’s as if this were another deck, a branch of the Petit Lenormand, not just a version of it.
